Northrop Grumman Weapons Systems  iscurrently seeking an  Associate Program Cost Scheduling Control Analyst- Financial  for our Elkton, Maryland location.

The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility inElkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, theElkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellantpropulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a widevariety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also servesas the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, PalmBeach Gardens, FL and San Jose, CA.

Job Summary:

As a Program Cost SchedulingControl Analyst you will be responsible for supporting our strategic and spacerelated business programs. This position will work very closelywith Northrop Grumman program management, operational leaders, andinternal and external customers.

You will beresponsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Working with the program team to integrate project cost withscheduled activity.

  • Settingup cost control systems, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules oncontracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system.

  • Preparingbudgets for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analysessuch as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

  • Performinganalyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are withinnegotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, and communicatingrecommendations to management in a clear, organized summary.

  • Ensuringadequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures,directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timelyrequests for additional funding to the government.

  • Incorporatingcontractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding workagainst each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedulebaselines.

  • Assisting in planning and forecasting programfinancial performance. Preparing future strategic plans.

  • Providing monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to supportbusiness processes.

  • Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from anaccredited four-year college or university (will be verified).

  • Havean overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcriptsmust be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to yourapplication or profile)

  • Previous finance internships/co-opor other work experience

  • Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, includingspreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint).

  • Ability to extract, compile,document and analyze data.

  • Ability to work in a teamenvironment and build relationships with others

  • Possess excellent analytical,problem solving and reporting skills

  • Independent self-starter and proactive contributor. Seeks tocontinually improve business processes and add value.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meetdeadlines. Organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format.

  • Beable to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S.citizenship is a pre-requisite)

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior team participation experience(professional/community/extracurricular)

  • Experience in developing anddelivering presentations and leading small groups

  • Internship with Aerospaceand/or DoD experience
